Snapping Shoals EMC is accepting applications for the position of Bilingual Customer Care Representative I.
The position provides assistance to consumers by providing a wide range of services. Qualified applicants must demonstrate telephone etiquette skills, work independently in a fast paced, high-pressure, call center environment and sit for long periods of time. Electric utility experience is preferred. Punctuality and consistent work attendance, overtime and irregular work hours, experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook required. High School diploma or GED required. Relative advanced education preferred.

Snapping Shoals EMC also has a position available for a Groundman. The position is an entry level position in our line of progression to our Lineman position. Responsibilities include construction, maintenance and repairs to our electrical systems for residential, commercial and/or industrial establishments. This position assists lineman in all ground work while performing essential duties of the lineman responsibilities Ability to climb poles periodically for training purposes only is required. A high school diploma or GED is required. One year of related experience or equivalent of education and experience is required. A valid Georgia’s driver’s license is required. An applicant must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License and Medical Examiners Certificate of Qualification within 12 months of accepting the position. The deadline for accepting applications for the position of Groundman is Wednesday, September 17th at 5:00 pm.

All candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional training and experience may be required in some cases.

Applicants will be required to pass Snapping Shoals EMC’s pre-employment physical with drug screen, previous employment verification and background check. If required by the position, applicants must provide a Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) and have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.
