The position provides assistance to consumers by providing a wide range of services. Qualified applicants must demonstrate telephone etiquette skills, work independently in a fast paced, high-pressure, call center environment and sit for long periods of time. Electric utility experience is preferred. Punctuality and consistent work attendance, overtime and irregular work hours, experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook required. High School diploma or GED required. Relative advanced education preferred.
Snapping Shoals EMC is accepting applications for the position of Technical Analyst I. Responsibilities include: Desktop Support Specialist/IP Telephony technician that can install & maintain legacy and hybrid telecom systems, works with 66/110 blocks and associated hardware. Works directly with vendors for support. Primary responsibility is the VolP/PBX communication support; however help desk and desktop pc support duties are required. Two year degree and 2 to 5 years experience in PBX/telecommunication support required. Additional duties include: supporting Windows 7 with Server 2003 and 2008, Exchange for email, performing on-site and remote support, Active Directory, TCP/IP, PBX/SIP, and Nortel/Avaya/Asterisk Communication Systems.
