Applying for Service

Charges for having residential electric service established are as follows:

$10.00 Membership Fee (which is refunded through a credit on your final bill when you are no longer a member of Snapping Shoals EMC)
plus
$40.00 Account Establishment Fee (non-refundable)

This amount (total of $50.00) can be billed on your first bill. These fees may be charged to a credit card if desired.

An electric service deposit equivalent to up to three months' power bills will also be required if our credit check indicates a deposit is needed. This deposit must be paid before the meter can be turned on. It can be charged to a credit card if desired.

For commercial or business service, deposits are calculated on an individual basis.

Any service started without a signed application will be disconnected within 30 days. Application forms are available at all Snapping Shoals EMC offices or by calling 770-786-3484. Click here for an application.
