May 19, 2020 Update:
Snapping Shoals cares and recognizes the impact and stress COVID-19 has on our members. As the pandemic continues to impact our members, we have extended the suspension of service disconnections through at
least June 30. Snapping Shoals will provide notice of two weeks before we return to normal disconnect procedures. It's important to remember that not disconnecting your service does not mean that your
bill has been canceled. Balances are still accruing for usage during this time. We encourage members to pay what they can now to avoid large balances when we do resume service disconnections.
SSEMC is ready and willing to work with those impacted by COVID-19. Our lobby remains closed, but we have dedicated representatives available by phone at 770-786-3484 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday
through Friday. Our drive-thru is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
March 26, 2020 Update:
Snapping Shoals EMC is continuing our response plan to COVID-19. As part of that response, our drive-thru remains open and we are extending the suspension of service disconnections
for non-payment until further notice. Members are encouraged to pay what they can to avoid a larger bill later. Members who need to make payment arrangements as a result of COVID-19 are
asked to contact Snapping Shoals EMC customer service at 770-786-3484. We are here to help!
Since the COVID-19 virus hit our state, we have paid close attention to information coming out on a national and local level. That includes information from our state and local government officials,
as well as the information coming from the CDC and the Coronavirus Task Force. As a result, we've made changes in how we are working to protect you and our employees. Snapping Shoals EMC is always a 24-hour
operation with employees on-site and on-call. Though many employees are working remotely, all employees remain available by phone and email.
Our employees stand ready to respond to any power outages if necessary.
Daily work activity of our line crews continue, however we are practicing social distancing in these efforts.
Our lobbies will remain closed. Drive-thru service remains open.
Although disconnects have been temporarily suspended; Members are still responsible for their bill. By suspending disconnects, we are allowing members to pay their balance at a later date. Members should continue
to pay as normal when possible.

and welfare of your family as well. Please continue good health habits such as washing your hands, sanitizing frequently touched areas, and practice social distancing. Snapping Shoals EMC prepares for a variety of crises. While this isn't an outage situation caused by a storm,
our emergency plans are updated frequently, and we feel confident in our ability to keep your lights on while keeping you and our employees safe.
