Snapping Shoals EMC has a long tradition of being servant leaders in our community. In continuing to encourage that theme of giving back, we have created the Employee Cooperative Spirit Award, which recognizes an outstanding SSEMC employee who goes above and beyond to give back to our community. Nominees demonstrate a sustained involvement to improving their community and should inspire others to service through their leadership.

The inaugural Cooperative Spirit Award goes to the man who always has a plan and has never feared a deadline. Scott Fuss is constantly involved in our community, his church and at SSEMC. He is well-known for his willingness to lend a hand to anyone who needs help or is in need. He regularly shares his knowledge and skills in events for SSEMC and in the community, and he willingly teaches others how to execute the vision. He is also known throughout the state for his artistic contributions and regularly performs at any church that will have him. He has served on many community boards and been involved in projects such as Chimney Park, which took vacant land and transformed it into a community park.
