A massive crowd filled the arena at the Georgia International Horse Park

Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual Meeting at the Georgia International Horse Park on July 17! A total of 1,443 SSEMC members registered, which meant that including members' guests, we got to spend the day with more than 3,000 smiling faces!

The crowd was treated to music from High Road, health advice from Piedmont Newton, energy tips from SSEMC employees and a visit from 811's Digger the Dog. Members also had the opportunity meet reps from Gresco, EMC Security and Walton Gas.

Michael Taylor of Covington was the lucky winner of the 2011 Chevy Impala that was retired from SSEMC’s fleet. Arthur and Betty Campbell of Covington were the Oldest Married Couple in attendance and will receive a $100 credit on their power bill. Lucy Brown of Conyers was the Oldest Member in attendance and will receive a $50 bill credit.

Board of Directors Ruby Woods (District 1), Jeff Wigington (District 2), and James I. White (District 4) were each re-elected to serve three-year terms for their districts.
